loop vent

Definition

In plumbing, a venting configuration for multiple fixtures, as in a public restroom. The vent pipe is connected to the waste branch in only two places, before the first and last fixtures. The fixtures are not individually vented. The two vents are connected together in a loop, and the loop is then connected to the vent stack.
